Does it actually send an email to verify?
No. Verification is done via DNS and MX record lookups only — we never send test emails. This means it's instant and doesn't trigger spam filters or send unwanted messages.
What does the deliverability score mean?
The score (0–100) reflects how likely an email sent to that address will reach the inbox. 80+ = deliverable, 50–79 = risky (may bounce or go to spam), below 50 = likely undeliverable.
Can I validate a list of emails?

Why does a Gmail address score less than 100?
Gmail addresses are valid and deliverable, but we subtract a small amount for being a free consumer provider — which is useful context when you're building a B2B list and want to know if someone gave a personal vs business email.
